Waterway opens Could 16 – Ontario OUT of DOORS

The Trent-Seven Waterway navigation season will open on schedule for the Victoria Day lengthy weekend on Friday, Could 16 at 10 a.m.
The 386-kilometre, 42-lift lock route linking Lake Ontario’s Bay of Quinte and Lake Huron’s Georgian Bay first opened in 1922. It’s managed by Parks Canada and is designated a Nationwide Historic Web site.

From Could 16 to June 19, lockstations will probably be open 10 a.m. to three:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 9 a.m. to six:30 p.m. Friday to Sunday (and Victoria Day, Could 22).
From June 20 to Sept. 1, lockstations will probably be open 9 a.m. to five:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 9 a.m. to six:30 p.m. Friday to Sunday (and Canada Day, July 1, Civic vacation Aug. 4, and Labour Day, Sept. 1).
From Sept. 2 to Oct. 13, lockstations will probably be open 10 a.m. to three:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, together with Thanksgiving on Oct. 13
Station opening and shutting instances, in addition to first and final lockage, are usually not assured and could also be affected by water administration duties, upkeep actions or different varieties of navigation interruptions, officers said.
