Patti Friday: Flash Friday: The Ghost Farmer

Micro-Studying Images Lesson:
The Ghost Farmer.
As your images instructor, I encourage you to chase the sudden. These mysterious flashes of sunshine, hazy orbs, lens flares, and sunspots—typically dismissed as flaws—can change into the very soul of a picture. They convey temper, thriller, and magic. These “imperfections” can recommend one thing otherworldly or nostalgic, pulling the viewer deeper into your picture.
Moderately than modifying them out, lean in. Shoot towards the solar. Let mild leak by timber, home windows, or mist. Play with reflections and angles. Use outdated lenses or classic filters. Observe how mild bounces, flares, and behaves when it’s uninvited.
These spontaneous parts give your work character. They are saying: this second wasn’t managed—it was captured. It was alive. Embrace that shimmer, that ghostly glow. It is not a mistake. It’s a narrative.
